Opal is a small tray based application that will update your desktop wallpaper with the Photo of the Day from National Geographic.com. Photos can be set to downloaded daily or can be set to randomly select a past photo for your desktop on the hour.
Dedicated to my mother, Opal Beacham, who enjoyed reading National Geographic all her life.

Browse through past Photo of the Day images easily and set as your wallpaper
Minimizes to the system tray and stays out of the way
(right click to exit)
Option to change your desktop wallpaper to the Photo of the Day
Option to change your desktop to a random photo on the hour
Adjust your background color, set to center, or fit to desktop

No additioal libraries or DLLs to install; no dependencies at all
Total disk space needed only 144k (Windows) after install!
